Tribal-Fit is a fun and simple yet effective way to get in shape. A low impact / high energy workout that allows everyone to exercise at their own level and capacity while burning calories. Enjoy a combination of different Traditional / Contemporary African dance moves that are easy to follow, safe but high energy and most important fun. Move your entire body to the blend of African music - Highlife, Afrofunk, Soukous, Konkoma and more. The class focuses on a full body workout using dance techniques that are functional and excellent for body toning ,coordination and strengthening. Emphasis on upper and lower body muscle groups and abdominal exercises are achieved through movements that are equivalent to squats and lunges. The choreography has been uniquely designed to improve ones flexibility, endurance, rhythm , fitness and cardio vascular health, creating a balanced and complete workout for the body and mind. This exercise is appropriate for all levels of fitness and no previous African dance experience is needed. Maobong's approach to fitness is to exercise while having fun! Remember ... African Dance is Freedom!
