Elder Prince Ofion Akak
(Co-ordinator of Efik Language Programmes)

Elder Prince Ofion Akak, is the first son of Dr. Etubom Eyo Okon Akak.

For three decades now he has been seriously involved in the development and teaching of Efik language to all levels of education from nursery -university.

Elder Ofion is a writer, poet, dramatist and publisher who had won several Laurels from Cananites, NTA/CRR Mobil Award.

On the National level he has presented several works, now approved for schools and colleges.

These works include:

• Efik language Curriculum (JSS& SSS).
• Environmental Education (Efik)
• Translation of AIDS Programmes (Efik)
• Efik Culture-Customs and Institution
• Efik Poetry
• Efik Grammar
• Efik Drama
• Efik Prose
